MMSC51

Hello Friends, I finally finished netting the other peach tree by getting on my tall 20' ladder to put the net on it. I used the back of a broomstick and was able to thin out the peaches. That took a whole day, because it was my first time thinning the trees. If you ever see a person using the back of a broomstick handle knocking little peaches of the tree, looks like whacking the tree to death, that person is Thinning a Peach Tree! LOL Taking off about 95% of the little wee peaches and leaving only 5% on the tree so the fruit will get BIG. That sure makes you appreciate peaches! I am growing the Saturn Donut looking peach, looks like a flattened peach, but it's quite sweet with white flesh. However it seems like it's growing really really slowly...we'll see what happens.

What else...The last 3 days everyone had a stomach flu.. bleh.. but we are getting better now it seems :)

Also this week is Carolyn's last week with us at the Design Team. We'll miss her tons! We all wish her the best in her endeavors. Please go and leave her a comment

Next Week will be MMSC's One Year Anniversary!! And some Amazing Prizes will be given away! Stay tuned :)

Jeni, I love your interpretation of the sketch and this image. The flowers and pearls are the perfect touch to this lovely card. I really enjoyed reading about your peaches as we have peaches in GA and I did not know that you had to thin a Peach tree to get large peaches...how cool is that. Thanks for sharing.

Carol :o}

Hi Jeni, first, we have a peach tree too and I know we are suppose to prune it, but we never do...the branches get so heavy and hang down so low the dogs end up eating all the peaches off the tree..LOL it is so funny because there will be a ton of peach seeds all over the back yard..LOL Oh well, dogs will be dogs. Anyway, I hope you get beautiful fruit this year :) Now to your lovely card...as always you do a bang up job with the sketch and images each week. Thank so much for being the sponsors this week. I know the girls love working with your images. Your talent exceptional.

Jeni, I can just picture you with a broom "wacking" the poor little peaches off the tree!!! LOL I think our mango trees got some trimming yesterday from the storm and high winds we had, so no need to wack them out!!! Hope you are feeling better and the family too.
Your cards are always stunning and this one is no exception. Gorgeous colors, pretty flowers and I love the bling.
Hugs,
Charlotte

Oh, I loved reading your peach story. I WANT SOME PEACHES! ;)
Sounds like alot of work, but has to be fun whacking that tree sometimes too, right? I hope that you will enjoy the "fruits" of your efforts!
