Midnight Madness #18

Congrats to Melody R. for being receiving the Masterpiece award for last week's entry and the receipients of the Remarkables as well!

This exciting week , we have Creations by Penny as our Weekly Sponsor and DRS Designs as our Sep Sponsor. Very exciting prizes for you players :)

For this week, I made a purse, one that opens and has some fun stuff in the middle. I've been meaning to make a purse or backpack after seeing some interesting posts on StampArctic.com. I was going to try a backpack, or a tutorial I saw from SCS, but they weren't the right shape. And being an Ex-Bag and Shoe Fanatic, now I'm just a card making supplies Fanatic, I grew up in NYC and went shopping regularly with my sister. She help instill the love of bags in me. So it just had to be the right shape of bag, like a Marc Jacobs, LV, or Gucci bag shape. Lol. I'm a little nutty...
but I'm also blessed to have a generous sister, who has a friend working at Marc Jacobs and my sis bought me a beautiful white quilted MJ bag, that I use in the summer woohoo... so back to cards..

Using DRS Bloomin Huge Flower ( which I put in the inside of the purse and also the sketch on the inside)

the sketch#18

My creation ( I created a rough template and would be happy to share it with you all if you want to give it a try at make this purse) consisted of Shrinky Dink , Basic Grey Russian Dolls Stamp, Prima Flower Gems, Nestibilites Cameo Diecut, Paper - K& Co, Stempleglede stamp ( inside lining edges) and some flowers, Tim Holtz text stamp.

Hugs to you all! xox ~Jeni

It is beautiful, just the right shape, lol. Yummy stuff on the inside, as well as out!! You've got me curious to see your MJ bag. It is hard to go from "big city livin'" to these plains states, isn't it? I'm from the L.A. region, so trying to go shopping out here in Kansas is just one disappointment after another :(
